Julian Assange lands on Australian soil to reunite with wife and sons
Julian Assange has arrived in Australia after a US judge accepted his plea deal for one count of espionage.
Who is paying for Assange’s flight home and why was he unable to fly commercial?
Julian Assange flew the same exact jet that Taylor Swift chartered back in February to fly to the Super Bowl. The Global 6000 charter flight reportedly cost $520,000 USD.
Assange’s wife Stella set up a crowd sourcing page where she claimed, without evidence, that Assange was “forced” to fly private and that he now owes the Australian government $520K USD for the flight. She set the fundraising goal for 520,000 GBP, which, when you convert that from USD, is $140K USD more than she said the flight cost!
Something does not add up here. I’ve never heard of a government mandating someone fly private without covering the cost. And security can’t be the reason, either. Australia recently extradited Rajwinder Singh on murder charges and they flew him back in an economy seat on Air India, escorted by police.
Where is the evidence that Assange was mandated to fly private? Where is the evidence that the Australian government picked up the tab and sent him an invoice for it? Why would anyone donate without first seeing that evidence?

Julian Assange flew to freedom on same $40M private jet Taylor Swift...
Where do the worlds of pop-superstardom and international espionage meet? Aboard a $40 million private jet at 41,000 feet, of course.

How did Julian Assange afford running WikiLeaks?
I just watched the Fifth Estate, it talks about how Julian Assange started WikiLeaks and it's early days. My question was how did he afford to go around the world as often as he did? How did he even afford to go so long without pay and before he amounted such a net worth?
